For each of the sets of components below, use the components to draw a schematic for a circuit that has the specified value somewhere in it. Clearly label the values of all sources and resistors, as well as the specified value.

If it is not possible to make the specified value using the given components, explain why it is not possible (including what additional components you would need in order to create that value).

Note that there may be multiple correct solutions, and that you do not need to use all of the components for any given question.

  1. Set 1 contains two 1\Omega resistors, two 4\Omega resistors, and one 9{\rm V} voltage source. Use these components to make a current of 3{\rm A}.

  2. Set 2 contains two 1{\rm k}\Omega resistors, one 8{\rm V} voltage source, and one 2{\rm V} voltage source. Use these components to make a branch voltage of 5{\rm V}.

  3. Set 3 contains two 6\Omega resistors, two 3\Omega resistors, one 6{\rm V} voltage source, and one 12{\rm V} voltage source. Use these components to make a current of 6{\rm A}.

  4. Set 4 contains one 3{\rm A} current source, one 7{\rm A} current source, and six 1\Omega resistors. Use these components to make a branch voltage of 5{\rm V}.
