Over the past week, we saw lots of examples of circuits involving op-amps that could be used to perform non-trivial analog computations. In this problem, we'll take a look at one such circuit:

Answer the following questions:

  1. Write a differential equation (or integral equation) relating v_o(t) to v_i(t). What operation does this circuit perform?
  2. Using one resistor, one inductor, and one ideal op-amp:
    • design another circuit that performs the same operation (the topology will be somewhat similar to the circuit above), and
    • derive the output when given v_i(t) as an input voltage.
    • How would you set the parameters so that your new circuit has the same input/output relationship as the circuit above?
