Consider the network shown below. The analysis of this network begins at t=0, at which time v_c(0)=V_0. The voltage source supplies a voltage V_1 for all time t\ge 0, while the current source steps from 0 to I_1 at t=T.

  1. Find v_c(t) for 0 \leq t \leq T.
  2. Using superposition, find v_c(t) for t>T.
  3. Repeat part 2, but instead of using superposition, combine the sources and resistors into one equivalent Thevenin or Norton circuit.
  4. Do you get the same answer for part 2 and part 3, why or why not?
